Pretend Kitchen Play

I don't usually let my kids play with my kitchen stuff. But I like to make an exception occasionally.

It was easy to find some small bowls and a small pot and lid for them to play with along with a dish towel, cloth, hot pan holder, wooden spoon and whisk.

The harder part was finding some appropriate ingredients for them to mix.

In the end, I got some small cars in one box, shoe strings in another, magnetic letters, and pom poms. In the spice containers are some large buttons and clothespins.

I also filled an empty egg carton with wooden beads.

The kids really did enjoy playing with all this stuff. Next time I'll probably keep it much more simple so the mess doesn't spread so easily.
