Homemade "Ranch" Dressing

When I lived with my family overseas growing up, salad dressing was expensive and hard to find. So we began making this as a substitute for ranch dressing. Now that I've returned to North America, I really don't like the ranch dressing you can buy from the store and by far prefer the homemade salad dressing we made from scratch. We eat this salad dressing on everything especially on a green lettuce salad and on pizza. Guests in our home often ask for the recipe. So here it is!

Homemade "Ranch" Dressing
1/2 cup mayonnaise
milk
2 small cloves garlic (or 1 large)
2 teaspoons onion, diced
1-2 teaspoons dried dill weed

Scoop the mayonnaise into the dressing container or a small mixing bowl. Mix in milk, adding more until it is the right consistency that you like for salad dressing. If it gets too runny, just add more mayonnaise. (Use a whisk, if you have clumps of mayonnaise or press the clumps against the side of the dish with a spoon.) Put the garlic cloves and onions through a garlic press and add to the dressing. Add the dill weed and mix it to combine. Enjoy!
