My oldest is always asking to make gingerbread houses. Instead of cake for his 8th birthday, we made gingerbread houses. I have a great cut out for a gingerbread house, but we are far more likely to go with graham cracker houses.
This is an easy way to do it and the kids can each make their own small house. You need to get a small milk carton for each of them.
Cut the tab off the top and empty out the milk and rinse the carton. Tape the top closed and use icing to attach each carton to a plate. Use icing to attach the graham crackers to the sides of the carton. It is okay if there is still carton showing because you can use the candy to cover any remaining carton that might be showing. So fun and the kids love it. And honestly, graham crackers with icing is pretty good too. :)
